There are a lot of users who say that the Bluetooth option on their iPhone X does not function. It won’t simply turn on no matter what they do. When they try to use Bluetooth, it just keeps on searching for devices without actually finding one.
If you are one of the users who experience this problem, then this article is for you.
Fix for Bluetooth Malfunction
1st Solution: Make sure that the Accessory is Fine
Check the accessory of your Bluetooth. Restart it whenever you feel that it is necessary. Make sure that it is fully charged.
If this is your first time pairing your Bluetooth to other devices, it will generally take long. Be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes in order for your iPhone to find a connection.
You might also experience this problem after an iOS update. If this is the case, check with the Apple forums to see if this is an ongoing issue and make sure to know the date when this issue would be fixed.
2nd Solution: Try to restart your iPhone X
Step 1: You can simultaneously press and hold the Volume Up Button and the Side Button. Wait for the Slider for “Shut Down” to appear. You can also go to your device’s Settings. Choose General and then tap the “Shut Down” button.
Step 2: To shut down your device, simply drag the slider off.
Step 3: Turn on your iOS device. Make sure to press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3rd Solution Refresh your Bluetooth
Step 1: Go to your iPhone’s Settings. Select the “Bluetooth” option.
Step 2: Turn off your Bluetooth.
Step 3: Wait for a few minutes before turning it on again.
4th Solution: Activate the Airplane Mode
In order to do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to your “Settings”.
Step 2: Select the “Airplane Mode” option and turn it on.
Step 3: Wait for a few minutes and turn it back off again.
5th Solution: Do a Hard Reset on your Apple Device
In order to do this, follow these steps:
Step 1: Press the Volume Up button then release it. Press the Volume Down button and release it.
Step 2: Press the Side button and wait until the device restarts. Turn back your Bluetooth on and see if this method works.
6th Solution: Forget the Bluetooth Device on your iOS
In order to do this, do the following:
Step 1: Press “Settings” and choose the “Bluetooth” option on your phone
Step 2: Turn on your Bluetooth device.
Step 3: Search for the (i) symbol on the right side of your device name on the Bluetooth that you wanted to pair with.
Step 4: Select the “Forget this Device” option.
Step 5: Confirm to “Forget the Device”
Step 6: Pair your iPhone again with the same device to see if this solution works.
7th Solution: Reset your Phone’s Settings
Special Note: When you do this, all the saved Wi-Fi passwords, previously connected Bluetooth devices, APNs, and VPNs, will be deleted.
Step 1: Go to your phone’s “Settings”. Select the “General” option and tap on the “Reset” button.
Step 2: Tap the “Reset all Settings” option.
Step 3: Enter your passcode to confirm Reset.

Tried all of these. Apple just sent out an update that was supposed to fix Bluetooth but it’s still not working. I’m hating Apple lately. It won’t talk to another Apple device (watch-which makes it junk to me-really overpriced junk).
i been having a lot of problems since the update.
the screen ALWAYS stop working
my WiFi work when it wants to
and now my Bluetooth is no longer working
my phone is a year old
i am still paying for this crappy phone ever since they did an update nothing works
i tired everything you can think of.
i am still paying for crappy phone.
They want me to send it in wait 6 weeks to see what is wrong with it
waste of time and money, NO longer going to buy from APPLE.
Yeah that’s because of you that it’s broken
I agree. I had just bought Panasonic cordless phones for my house that had base unit that did several things I wanted. Worked fine until I got my new iPhone 11. Also just bought tiles to help find remotes etc. won’t pair with phone but instead now have the black spinning wheel on Bluetooth devices. U want to scream.
i have an iphone 7plus and it doesn’t wanna connect to anything when i slide up and see if it is on my bluetooth is on but then i go to my settings and it shows that my bluetooth is off and it shows a spinning wheel it wont let me see any of my bluetooth accessories
Bruh same my WiFi won’t even work i have a iPhone 7! It’s so stupid ever since I updated my iOS it stopped working why.
also when i try to turn it off it won’t even allow me to do that .
Same issue and they want me to pay for it not going to happen
This is the same information as lots if other people. But it doesn’t work on my iPhone 6s which is only just out of 1 Yr warranty. Bluetooth won’t switch kn just get the spinning gear. Have tried everything including factory reset.
Did you find the solution to that problem
I tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked. Then I read where someone said they took the cover off of their iphonex and that randomly fixed it. I tried and it worked! I took the case off and the spinning wheel went away, the toggle bar came back and I had Bluetooth again. Go figure!
This is literally bullshit. iPhones are so over rated it’s unbelievable. The only reason why I have one is because the camera quality. My Bluetooth will not turn on, or turn off. It just has the spinning wheel. Like everyone else, I’ve tried everything. Everything should work at all times considering the damn price. Will NOT be getting another iPhone.
Nothing has worked so far on my iPhone, and it’s not even an old one. I’m still paying for this phone, and it’s stopped working? Apple is unbelievable. Sky-high prices, and they can’t guarantee the basics of a functioning smartphone. I am very disappointed and am no longer buying more apple products. Why waste the money when they’ll stop working before you even pay them off???
My phone was working just fine until the recent update. Bluetooth and speaker stopped working no matter what I try. I wish Apple would let users move back a version in case of something like this. F….. sucks.
IOS 15.5 update fixed my iPhone X blue tooth “windmill problem”
It works
